Solution IT Inc. is looking for Supply Chain Analytics Lead Consultant/Analyst for one of its clients - Santa Clara, CA (onsite)
Job Title: Supply Chain Analytics Lead Consultant/Analyst
Summary
The Supply Chain Analytics Lead Consultant/Analyst will be responsible for driving data-driven insights and digital transformation initiatives across the end-to-end semiconductor supply chain, including wafer fabrication (Fab), Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), and logistics. This role requires deep expertise in advanced analytics, supply chain processes, and a strong functional understanding of the semiconductor industry's ecosystem and challenges. The successful candidate will translate complex data into actionable strategies to optimize performance, enhance resilience, and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced dashboards and reports for monitoring key supply chain KPIs (e.g., inventory levels, demand forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, supplier performance).
- Perform in-depth analysis of large, complex supply chain datasets (planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics) to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of inefficiencies specific to the semiconductor domain.
- Utilize statistical models, predictive analytics, and AI/ML techniques to improve demand forecasting, optimize inventory placement (especially high-value components/wafers), and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Develop network design and optimization models to rationalize operational assets and networks, considering international borders and trade compliance complexities inherent in the semiconductor value chain.
- Drive thought leadership by researching and analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and industry benchmarks to provide strategic insights to clients or senior management.
Supply Chain Optimization & Consulting
- Consult with cross-functional stakeholders (Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, IT) to gather business requirements and implement data-driven strategies that drive operational excellence.
- Lead or support projects related to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and inventory control strategy, particularly in a fabless, IDM, or foundry modelcontext.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digitalization across procurement (e.g., source-to-pay), manufacturing planning, and logistics.
- Provide expertise in integrating and optimizing data flow between various planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP IBP/APO, Kinaxis, Oracle).
- Develop TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models and business cases for strategic supply chain initiatives, securing buy-in from stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership
- Manage project workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of client-ready deliverables and value realization.
- Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
- Mentor and coach junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and analytical rigor.
Required Skills:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of direct experience in Supply Chain Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Consulting.
- 1+ years of specific, hands-on experience working within the Semiconductor, High-Tech, or Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.
Technical Skills
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using tools and languages such as SQL, Python, and/or R.
- BI & Visualization Tools: Hands-on experience designing and maintaining dashboards using leading platforms (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Supply Chain Systems: Functional knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP/APO, Kinaxis).
- Modeling: Experience with statistical modeling, optimization, and simulation techniques.
Core Competencies
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to break down complex, unstructured supply chain problems (like the long, multi-tiered semiconductor supply chain) and generate actionable, evidence-based solutions.
- Semiconductor Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of the semiconductor value chain, including IDM/Foundry/Fabless models, OSAT coordination, wafer flows, and long lead-time material sourcing.
- Communication & Consulting Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse, global teams.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and work independently or lead project segments.
Work Site: Santa Clara, CA (onsite)
