    Description

    Biometrics Technicians (BTs), who successfully completed the required minimum ASC training for performance of their task, have duties that included customer interface/greeting, initiation and completion of forms related to the biometrics processes, taking digital/manual biometrics, initiation and processing of database ID and quality checks, and reconciliation of interim documentation. These positions are covered under the Service Contractor Labor Standards (SCLS) wage determinations and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). BTs have been competent in using electronic/manual biometrics capturing equipment, in using all special supplies required to perform, and in the receipt and control of negotiable instruments and the issuance of interim documentation such as foils, and stamps. BTs with valid driver's licenses and other identification have been used to support the mobile routes at applicable sites. This job category has been a front-line, customer service position that required the ability to deal with people in a pleasant and professional manner. The ability to speak another language in addition to English was desired. BTs have been flexible, open, and responsive to procedural changes and cooperative in implementing and testing new technology and standard operating procedures as the functional responsibilities within the ASCs evolve.

    The Contractor shall provide biometric technician(s) at Stand Alone ASC locations. This position is a mandatory requirement. The Department Of Labor (DOL) labor category for this job duty has been assessed as a General Clerk II. The workload determines the number of biometric technicians at each site. Each employee who will perform biometric technician duties shall have successfully met the required training. Biometric technicians shall possess an appropriate security clearance and must maintain a neat and professional appearance. This job category is a front-line, customer service position that requires the ability to deal with people in a pleasant, professional manner.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
    • Preferred expertise as security guard or protection services
    • Preferred ability to speak a foreign language
    • Ability to stand upright on one's feet for scheduled shift duration, excluding meals and breaks.
    • Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust
