AWS Devops Architect

Job title: AWS Devops Architect

Location: Princeton NJ

Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

• Lead Architecture sessions and technical discussion on application and deployment architecture across teams.
• Ensure that we follow and adhere to the industry practices of a well architected cloud framework based on Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Efficiency and Cost Optimization.
• Plan and estimate the Infrastructure as a Code in conjunction with the code bases that we run in the cloud environment.
• Lead Engineering/Development effort and maintain Infrastructure as a code and other operational and maintenance scripts along with the guiding the application development team on best practices for including logging and traceability within the code base and or using third party tools.
• Work with development teams to identify roadblocks before they occur and help develop mitigating plans of action.
• Strong experience with Linux based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration and good understanding of the core networking fundamentals along with ability to design network isolation.
• Strong cloud engineering experience primarily on AWS, preferably with AWS DevOps Engineer or AWS solution architecture certification.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Groovy, Perl, Python, Bash along with the AWS cloud SDK and cloud formation scripts.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Golang and C++ is a plus.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes on platforms such as AWS ECS and AWS EKS. (Must have)
• Experience in working with Terraform/CloudFormation/Pulumi/Python, for infrastructure automation and configuration (Must have).
• Experience with APM and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus/Grafana.
• Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases like AWS Dynamo DB and MongoDB and Graph databases such as Neo4J, AWS Neptune.
• Experience with application caching solution like AWS Elasticache and CDN application/tools like Akamai, Cloudflare,
• Experience with project management and workflow tools and concepts such as Jira, Agile, Scrum/Kanban etc.
• Experience in software development and infrastructure as a Code development process and Proficient in Git, Git commands and various Git workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, CircleCI, Fastlane, and mobile/OTT application CI/CD processes.
