Job Details

Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Test Engineer to support a high-profile federal program. This is a short-term contract of three months; follow-on work is possible but not guaranteed. This is a hybrid role, with several days per week in Washington, DC, required.

This role involves validating software functionality, performance, and security across a mission-critical web-based platform. The QA Engineer will collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within a secure federal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Perform manual and automated testing across multiple environments.

  • Conduct QA activities including functional, integration, API, load, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.

  • Validate application reliability, performance, and compliance with security requirements.

  • Perform codebase testing and scanning to ensure functionality and security.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, collaborating with developers for resolution.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or NACI clearance. (Current is preferred.)

  • At least five years of professional experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.

  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.

  • Familiarity with integration testing, API testing, and performance/load testing.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Additional Information

  • This is a 3-month contract role with potential extension.

  • Hybrid work environment: candidates must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC as required.

  • Pay range: $52 $56 per hour (W2 only).
