Job Description
Senior Azure Data Integration Engineer Omaha, NE, Overland Park, KS or Minneapolis, MN - HYBRID
The Sr. Azure Data Integration Engineer will be part of an Agile team designing, developing and implementing solutions using the Azure stack. The role will be working on strategic projects, support the existing integrations environment and applications, with an enhanced ability to triage and correct exceptions within a short timeline.
The Engineer recommends and implements changes to existing software, as well as recommending ideas for implementing future software. The engineer must be able to learn and keep up with rapidly changing computer technology. They must be able to do custom development, integrate older tools and technologies, and continuously build their own skills. They must be able to research and analyze existing programs and prepare documentation for work assignments. As well as, contribute to regular quality assurance activities such as a peer review.
Core Responsibilities:
- Independently design/code to meet requirements as provided by the business relationship managers and/or senior software engineer
- Contribute to the design, development and implementation of integration applications and services
- Create, maintain and test software using Visual Studio
- Develop and maintain custom applications
- Assisting with production issue resolution
- Create and maintain appropriate technical documentation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 2+ years of Azure Enterprise Integration Pack: Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL or equivalent
- Proficiency in JSON, XML, XQuery, XSLT, XPATH, flat files, & XSD
- Demonstrated experience in using source control platforms (Git) and implementing CI/CD
- Comfortable working with a highly collaborative small team as well as independently with clear direction from management
- Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Focus on continual process improvement
- Easily adapt to changing priorities
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of EDI X12/EDIFACT mapping specifications
- Familiarity with Azure Performance Tuning
- Familiarity with Azure Liquid Templates
- Familiarity with Azure Logic Apps
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake
- Proficient with .NET
