Job Description
Our client has an opening for a Data Consultant to join their team.
This is a permanent / full-time / remote position
Salary based on experience: $100,000 - $125,000
Responsibilities:
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization, and translate that knowledge into recommended solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
- Participate in client meetings and client stakeholders as well as internal meetings.
Skills:
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or data architect
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc)
- Strong knowledge and experience in database programming SQL(PL/SQL, T-SQL, I-SQL, etc) and fine tuning.
- Strong knowledge and experience in using and implementing integration/ETL framework
- Proficient in working with Informatica as ETL developer, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Cloud
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
