RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer - Microsoft SME in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role is integral to supporting a global strategic initiative aimed at harmonizing the end-to-end Microsoft lifecycle and environment across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and administer enterprise devices using approved tools such as Microsoft Intune and MECM
* Create and maintain operating system images and automated deployment methodologies, including Windows Autopilot
* Develop automated software and solution packages for deployment to enterprise devices
* Oversee and manage the monthly deployment of Windows security patches
* Supervise mass software updates and deployment efforts for enterprise devices
* Generate and manage various reports as needed
* Deploy and administer virtual desktops and zero/thin clients
* Conduct routine environmental assessments to ensure continuous enhancement and modernization of the end-user computing environment
* Participate in major incident response activities, ensuring timely remediation of outages, performing root cause analysis, and developing long-term solutions to mitigate future risks
* Research complex technical problems, identify solutions, and communicate technical fixes
* Act as a resource for projects, including the introduction of new hardware/software solutions, Windows/Office365 upgrades, and other technology advancements
* Collaborate with the security team to engineer solutions for end-user device security
* Serve as a technical escalation point for large-scale or persistent end-user problems
* Provide third-line support after all tiered resources have been exhausted
* Partner with third-party vendors to deliver results in various support and project-based initiatives
* Compose and maintain policies and procedures documentation
* Conduct regular audits on access and roles
* Implement and manage Azure identity protection and conditional access policies
REQUIREMENTS:
* Desired professional certifications: Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator, MSCE, AWS Solutions Architect, Network+, A+, etc.
* 5+ years of experience in end-user device engineering and Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools, including Windows Autopilot and Intune (Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
* Experience in deploying and administrating virtual desktop solutions such as Microsoft Windows 365, Microsoft AVD, Amazon Workspaces, Hyper-V, and VMWare
* Proficient in environmental management and administration via Azure Active Directory and AD Migration Tool (Quest)
* Strong professional and interpersonal skills, including exceptional customer service, creative problem-solving, effective communication, organized coordination of cross-functional teams, acute attention to detail, and self-management
* Expert troubleshooting skills for complex technical end-user device issues in large, distributed environments
* In-depth understanding of Windows 10/11 Operating System, Microsoft Windows Security Patching process, Device/User Policy administration, and Windows Registry architecture
* Advanced knowledge of scripting methodologies (PowerShell, SQL, AWS CLI, Python, etc.) and Microsoft Office 365 product deployment/administration
* Proficient in using and administering multiple Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Mac OS X, Linux, etc.)
* Basic understanding of network infrastructure and protocols
* Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
* Willingness to work occasionally after hours and weekends
* Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview, data security, and data governance
* Experience in building data classification and labeling programs to support the organization's data management and governance
* Familiarity with data posture management solutions to optimize data identification and mapping
* Strong understanding of security E5 features to accelerate work efforts
* Experience working with IoT devices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
