Job Description:

The Senior Business Analyst Consultant leads and supports the functional digital automation projects for the Company or for assigned Client(s) and typically reports to a Managing Director or other Manager. Typical job duties include identifying and recommending to clients best practices, best processes, gathering business requirements, clarifying businesses processes, supporting clients and in defining and developing functional design documents, creating test scenarios and execution of the testing technical solutions, providing end-user support, providing client training, post-production support, and may include other include project activities such as documentation, facilitating meetings, etc.,  on an as needed basis.


As a Senior Business Analyst Consultant, you job duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Providing presentations or conducting educational webinars
  • Conducting automation assessments and supporting clients in building automation pipelines
  • Identifying and recommending to clients the best practice and best processes
  • Gathering business requirements
  • Clarifying client businesses processes
  • Defining and developing functional design documents
  • Creating test plans, supporting clients in identifying test scenarios and execution of the testing
  • Working with Solution Architects and Developers in identifying digital automation solutions for clients
  • Providing end-user support
  • Providing client training
  • Providing post-production support
  • May include other include project activities such as documentation, facilitating meetings, etc., on an as needed basis.

As needed, Project Management of assigned project(s) including, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing estimates for projects.
  • Approving project team timesheets.
  • Ensuring projects come in on time and on budget.
  • Creating or supporting the creation of and maintaining the: project charter, project plan, resource plan, any RAID logs in cooperation with the client PM.
  • Provide on-site and remote leadership for the project team in cooperation with the client PM.
  • Provide project status reporting on behalf of NITCO to the NITCO management, client PM and client Sponsor.
  • Manage client expectations, serve as single point of contact on behalf of NITCO to client for projects or other activities, as needed.
  • Escalate risks, action items, issues, and decisions, as needed.
  • Ensure all NITCO project deliverables are completed as planned and obtain client acceptance.
  • Ensure all NITCO project tasks are communicated with team and completed based on plan.
  • Provide support to client in communicating organizational change management and training needs, as requested.
  • Provide support to client in project communications.
  • Any other agreed upon project management tasks needed to support projects.
  • Will need to be cross functional for various types of automations, such as Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, Intelligent Virtual Assistants, Machine Learning, Custom software development, etc., to support the developers and solution architects in working with clients on recommending and providing the best technical solution.
  • Will need to work in an agile software development environment.


  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365: Including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint and Zoom, required.
  • Proactive and able to work independently and remotely.
  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure, comfortable working with multiple teams and being a positive team player.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a software Business Analyst role.
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultant on software projects is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Oil and Gas industry is required.
  • Experience working on an agile team is required.
  • Must be available to work client business hours, Central Standard Time.
  • Must be flexible to work remotely or with client flex onsite schedule based on Company or client needs.
  • Must be in the Houston area.
