Job Description
Piper Companies is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for an employment opportunity. As CTO, you will be responsible for setting and executing the technological vision of the organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives. Your primary goal will be to enhance our technological capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth through the strategic application of technology. This role is on site and sits out of the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia Area.

• Salary: $225,000 - $275,000+ depending on experience, along with 15% annual bonus based on performance

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the overall technology strategy in alignment with the company's mission, vision, and goals.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies, evaluate their potential impact, and recommend their adoption or integration into the company's operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging and leading research and development efforts to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to the engineering and product teams, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and secure technology platforms, systems, and architectures.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business objectives and ensure technology investments deliver measurable value.
- Partner with product management to prioritize and roadmap new product features, enhancements, and technology investments based on customer needs and market trends.
- Work closely with operations teams to optimize processes, systems, and infrastructure for seamless operations and scalability.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams, promoting transparency, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Chief Technology Officer, VP, or similar leadership role within a technology-driven organization.
- Strong technical background and expertise in software development, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading technology teams, fostering innovation, and delivering complex projects.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements within the industry.
