A mid-size Healthcare IT organization is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to support projects involving healthcare data workflows, AI-enabled tools, AWS-hosted clinical applications, and regulatory compliance. This role reports into technology and compliance leadership and is responsible for coordinating requirements, managing timelines, supporting audit and privacy activities, and ensuring successful execution of system integrations and updates across clinical, data, and operational teams.
The position will lead projects that involve EHR-generated reports, claims and eligibility data, clinical notes, and other structured or unstructured healthcare data, and will work closely with engineering, data, privacy, information security, and clinical operations. The ideal candidate has experience using AI powered tools such as Jira AI, Confluence AI, ServiceNow AI, Copilot, or ChatGPT for summarization and documentation, and is comfortable supporting AI assisted workflow improvements or automation projects. Experience with dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight is required, and familiarity with AWS environments is expected, including exposure to S3 storage, Lambda based automation, RDS backed application databases, API Gateway integrations, or QuickSight reporting that supports healthcare operations.
The role will partner with privacy and compliance teams to assist with HIPAA, HITECH, and SHIN-NY aligned activities, including audit evidence collection, documentation of findings, corrective action tracking, and contributions to policies, procedures, training materials, and annual QE certification requirements. Responsibilities also include maintaining records of compliance activity, supporting onboarding and termination processes for healthcare participants, reviewing documentation for consent and privacy obligations, and helping resolve compliance or privacy related issues in coordination with internal teams and external partners. Strong collaboration skills are required, as the role will work across engineering, data, customer excellence, security, and clinical operations to support regulated technology initiatives.
Candidates should have five or more years of experience in healthcare IT, project management, healthcare compliance, or related technical roles, with strong communication abilities, high attention to detail, experience managing confidential information, and familiarity with regulated healthcare environments. Knowledge of SHIN-NY policies and HIE operations is preferred, as is experience supporting audits or compliance reviews. A bachelor s degree in a healthcare or technology related field is required, and certifications such as CHC or CHPC are considered a plus.
