We are hiring a Software Engineer to join our Vantor Hub UI team, where we use rapid iteration and continuous feedback to enhance a robust monitoring system and advance the Vantor Hub platform. This role combines system observability and product innovation, enabling collaboration on solutions that strengthen operational transparency and user experience. The Software Engineer will help ensure system reliability, performance, and early issue detection, while contributing across the full software development lifecycle of the Vantor Hub Experience.

Responsibilities: A day in the life / What the position will be doing:

• Design, implement, and enhance system monitoring and observability tools within the Vantor Hub platform.

• Develop software solutions across the full stack, including backend and frontend components.

• Own the full lifecycle of features from design code test deploy monitor.

• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product Management teams to align technical solutions with product goals.

• Integrate and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS or Azure services.

• Improve system reliability, performance, and visibility through observability practices and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to uphold high engineering standards.

• Document solutions, maintain version control via GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of software development experience (backend, frontend, and/or DevOps).

• Proficiency in Java or Python and experience with Object-Oriented Programming methodologies.

• Recent experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

• Familiarity with version control tools (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java for backend and Vue.js for frontend development.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for project management.

• Experience with OpenLayers maps library

• Hands-on experience with build tools (e.g., Vite), Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.

• Knowledge of API testing tools like Bruno or Postman.

• Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system health and user experience.

• Familiarity with engineering or working with geospatial datasets.
