Job Description Summary: Engaged in all phases of the software development lifecycle, which include, gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages and creating application system models. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs and interact and sometimes direct third-party partners in the achievement of business and technology initiatives. Responsibilities Working with business stakeholders to define requirements Creating technical specifications from functional requirements Developing prototypes and programs Defining and executing unit and integration test scripts. Ability to work independently or with a team as the need rises Following coding standards and best practices Run knowledge transfer sessions with support teams Maintain clear communications on statuses, outcomes with stakeholders and managers Ability to enhance and maintain existing business applications Independently install, customize, and integrate commercial software packages Work with experienced team members to conduct project planning, root cause analysis, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing Identify ideas to improve system performance and ensure high system availability Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges Provide comprehensive support with positive experience to internal/external customers Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in industry Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure Flexibility to support operations after hours when required

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required 5+ year experience in software development in RPG IV, DB2/400, Visual-RPG Experience with working on an AS400 iSeries ERP platform. Knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS and Javascript desirable. Experienced in the IBM iSeries environment Moderate knowledge of manufacturing processes and ERP's overall functionality. Software Development Lifecycle management methodology (SureStep, AIM); Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Basic project management skills. Minimal travel requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
