About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Operations Lead to modernize and optimize our finance processes and systems. This role will play a key part in transforming how our financial data flows through the organization, from legacy systems and codebases to modern, efficient, and scalable processes. You will work at the intersection of finance, technology, and operations, driving process improvements, ensuring accurate and timely close activities, and modernizing our financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of financial operations, a strong command of SAP, and experience with data reporting platforms like Power BI. You will act as the bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring that calculations, workflows, and controls are well-documented, transparent, and optimized for accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day finance operations including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Modernize Financial Processes: Identify, redesign, and automate legacy financial workflows, calculations, and process flows currently embedded in outdated systems or codebases.
- Documentation & Governance: Establish clear, accessible documentation for all financial processes, calculations, and reporting logic.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, IT, and Data Engineering to ensure data integrity and consistent process execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion best practices in financial operations, controls, and system utilization to drive efficiency and accuracy across the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus.
- Experience:
- 7+ years in financial operations, accounting, or financial systems management.
- Strong experience with SAP Financials (FI/CO) modules; hands-on configuration or process management preferred.
- Exposure to Microsoft Synapse, Power BI, or similar data analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated experience modernizing or automating finance processes.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of financial close processes and controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to translate complex calculations and processes into clear, maintainable documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
