Working remotely with our Software Solutions organization based out of St. Louis, MO, you will be dive into infrastructure as necessary and have responsibility for the entire software lifecycle. The Senior Agile Software Engineer is someone who is passionate and enjoys developing code.

    As a Senior/Principal Agile Software Engineer, YOU WILL:

    • Assist in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Develop automated UAT and Unit Tests


    • 5 years' experience in software development
    • 1-2 years of experience mentoring junior developers and a desire to grow in this area
    • An expert in at least one technical stack (e.g. web, UI, backend database)
    • Knows at least a couple languages well (C#, Node, front-end frameworks, etc.)
    • Experience developing and deploying software in Azure
    • Comfortable using automation for development, testing, and deployment of software products
    • Enjoys pair programming, and understands the scenarios where it can be helpful
    • Comfortable translating business requirements into a design
    • Has shipped at least one commercially used software product
    • Has some familiarity with operating systems other than their primary
    • Participates in product support (e.g. on call) independently
    • Has a decent approach between getting the job done vs technical debt
    • Understands agile development, could teach the ideas
    • Can explain and communicate technically complicated and abstract topics to business and product teams effectively
    • Willingness to put the needs of the team over their own
    • Willingness to experiment with development processes with an open mind
    • Ability to travel to St. Louis headquarters up to 1 week per quarter

    • 10 years' experience in software development
    • Master's degree or equivalent or demonstrated technical ability
    • Has shipped multiple commercialized products
    • Experience in related fields, e.g. customer support or data science
    • Experience with a functional programming language
    • Has an interest in the business, e.g. product viability and marketing

    Flexible Work Schedule - Remote Work Option and Core Hours

    This role has the flexibility of remote work and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm (based on team headquarters time zone). Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers. This role also has a travel requirement of up to 1 week per quarter to the St. Louis headquarters, predetermined by leadership in advance.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the base salary range for this role is $117,131 - $171,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
