Job Description:

The Manager of Network Engineering will collaborate with the Command Center, Operations, and peer engineering teams to enhance the shared services platform consumed by the application delivery teams. This role will advise on product priorities and coach individuals for ongoing career development.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead a small team with future growth potential to prioritize the backlog, develop roadmaps, and report key metrics
  • Develop and maintain relationships across the Technology teams, including Application Delivery
  • Maintain awareness of the department budget, influence budget planning, and model the financial impact of decisions
  • Participate in the Incident Management and Problem Management processes, driving rapid remediation to active incidents and root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with Operations and Delivery teams to build short and long-term technology roadmaps
  • Develop business cases for tools or initiatives
  • Facilitate technical conversations to arrive at succinct decisions and tasks
  • Leverage team and individual goals to measure performance and drive outcomes. Regularly report progress towards goals
  • Measure team performance with metrics
  • Recommendations on hiring across the Infrastructure Services team and contribute to the organization structure

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience managing data center, WAN, Wireless, 3rd Party, and Cloud Networks
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise CISCO networking infrastructure, including the following: Switching, Routing, DNS, DHCP, Wireless, Network Monitoring, MPLS, WAN Optimization, Load Balancers
  • Observability configuration and management
  • Experience in dealing with major Global Comms suppliers
  • Cloud Platform experience
  • LFI experience is a plus
  • Troubleshooting, Diagnostics & Event Log/Management
  • Desire to support the team and drive results through the work of others
  • Ability to understand complex systems and communicate concepts across all audiences
  • Ability to develop and modify processes to improve outcomes or key metrics
  • Capable of influencing decisions at various levels of leadership
  • Experience automating tasks or leading the automation of repeatable work
  • Understand product licensing and budget forecasting
  • Focus on continuous personal development

Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Industry standard certifications
  • At least 2 years as a team lead or manager

Base Pay:
$140,437.00 - $208,137.00

Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
