About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in accessibility testing and compliance to lead and manage accessibility-focused projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508, ADA) and hands-on experience managing QA/testing teams delivering accessible digital products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for digital accessibility testing initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and execute accessibility testing projects across web, mobile, and digital applications.
Work with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA, and business stakeholders) to ensure accessibility compliance.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508).
Facilitate accessibility audits, testing cycles, and remediation efforts.
Create and maintain project documentation, reports, and dashboards.
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to internal and client stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of accessibility testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in project management, including 3 5+ years managing accessibility or QA testing projects.
Proven understanding of WCAG, Section 508, ARIA, ADA, and other accessibility guidelines.
Experience working with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, etc.).
Strong background in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project).
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
PMP, CSM, or related project management certification preferred.
CPACC, WAS, or other IAAP accessibility certifications highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
Experience collaborating with accessibility consultants or third-party vendors.
Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, Deque tools).
Understanding of UX/UI design principles and inclusive design.
Ability to translate technical accessibility issues into business impacts.
