Job Description
Seeking a Junior Embedded Linux Engineer for a Global Chip Company in San Jose, CA
Summary
You will join a team responsible for Wifi driver/firmware development. Our team works closely with ASIC, DSP, system engineers, and we participate in the full product lifecycle from pre-silicon all the way through to full software reference designs.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new Wifi driver/firmware features for WLAN networking products
- Participate in architecture and design for new generation solution
- Debugging and fixing bugs for issues in existing products
- Maintain and enhance existing software OneDriver architecture
- Full life cycle software feature development from requirements through design, implementation and support
Required Skillsets
- BS in CS/EE with 0-5 years of related experience
- Proven experience in networking
- Fluent in C language, assembly and embedded debugging
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly in the realm of software debugging
Desired Skillsets
- General knowledge of 802.11 wireless networking and wireless gateway is highly desirable
- Experience in pcie and usb drivers highly desirable
- Deep experience with linux kernel and networking driver is a plus
- Background in embedded systems, preferably experience in the areas: device driver, linux kernel and WLAN protocol
Location: San Jose, CA (relocation assistance is available, must work onsite)
Type: Fulltime, will consider H1B Visa transfers.
Salary: $100-$150K
