Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Web Solutions Architect to join our technology team as the technical leader and strategic visionary for UI/web architecture initiatives. In this critical role, you will define the technological direction that shapes how millions of users interact with enterprise-level healthcare applications. You'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and business strategy, translating complex requirements into scalable, secure, and user-friendly web solutions that meet stringent healthcare industry standards.

As the Web Solutions Architect, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX designers, product managers, backend developers, and security specialists to create architectures that not only meet current needs but anticipate future growth and regulatory challenges. This role exists to support the company's strategic digital transformation initiatives and growing need for sophisticated web architecture capabilities as they continue to modernize their member experience platforms and expand their digital service offerings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define technical strategy and architectural direction for UI projects ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and regulatory compliance
• Conduct comprehensive technical design reviews and guide critical technology decisions including technology stack selection
• Evaluate existing systems and propose strategic integration approaches while ensuring adherence to industry best practices
• Supervise high-level UI design initiatives and ensure compliance with established enterprise architecture standards
• Partner with UX designers, product management, and usability experts to translate concepts into production-ready UI architectures
• Design and govern integrations with backend systems, identity providers, third-party services, and APIs including REST and GraphQL
• Ensure web solutions meet enterprise authentication, authorization, and API security standards for healthcare applications
• Define deployment architecture leveraging containerization, CI/CD practices, and comprehensive monitoring strategies
• Mentor and guide UI development teams on architectural principles, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Engage with stakeholders to understand complex requirements and communicate architectural decisions effectively across the organization
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory standards including HIPAA, HITRUST, and OWASP security guidelines

Required Experience/Skills

• 7+ years of experience in web architecture and enterprise application design with healthcare or regulated industry focus
• Expert-level proficiency in Angular framework for enterprise application development
• Advanced experience building scalable React applications and reusable component libraries
• Strong knowledge of Vue.js framework and its ecosystem for enterprise implementations
• Proficiency with Node.js for build tools, server-side development, and modern tooling
• Experience with Java/Spring frameworks specifically in frontend integration contexts
• Familiarity with Oracle technologies and database integration patterns for enterprise systems
• Deep understanding of large-scale CSS organization, methodologies, and preprocessing techniques
• Extensive experience designing and integrating with REST APIs and modern web services
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for web applications
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization technologies, and deployment automation
• Understanding of UX principles and proven ability to collaborate effectively with UX teams
• Knowledge of UI design patterns and ability to translate designs into scalable technical solutions
• Proven track record in architectural decision-making and enterprise system design
• Knowledge of regulatory standards including HIPAA, HITRUST, and OWASP security guidelines
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Proven leadership experience guiding and mentoring UI development teams
• Must be authorized to work in the US (US Citizen, Green Card, or Green Card EAD)
• Must be local to Oakland, CA, Rancho Cordova, CA, or Alpharetta, GA areas

Nice-to-Haves

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and performance optimization techniques for healthcare applications
• Background in Healthcare industry or content management systems
• Experience with large-scale web application development serving millions of users
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and cloud deployment strategies
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or Oracle ADF enterprise frameworks
• Knowledge of secure development lifecycle practices and security testing methodologies

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
• Relevant certifications in web technologies or solution architecture are a plus
