RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing and innovative Global Solar Technology company is seeking a Technical Supervisor with Process Engineering experience. The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing start-up manufacturing company bringing both Silicon and Thin Film PV (Photovoltaic) Solar manufacturing to Arizona. We produce a vertically integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturer leveraging conventional and advanced environmentally friendly solar technologies. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on these search assignments.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise process improvement technicians assigned
* Perform troubleshooting and changeover different configurations for stringers, Laminators, bussing stations, EL, Flashers
* Optimize the soldering recipes for materials on the equipment for better productivity and to reduce losses in the process of complete finished product and achieve low breakage yield
* Coordinate with research and development department to qualify BOMs and process techniques in order to optimize Cell-to-Module Loss
* Programming and optimizing for ATN soldering parameters for cycle time and quality
* Optimize gel content, Adhesion tests to ensure supplier material meets internal qualification requirements in compliance with ASTM D2765 & ASTM D903
* Optimize the manufacturing process to ensure product meets highest quality of safety in compliance to UL 1703 standard, in addition to IEC 61215 module performance
* Optimize the process in terms to meet mechanical load testing of Solar Modules in compliance with IEC- 61215 standards
* Optimize the gel content tests, adhesion tests for multi-stacking Laminators (2 Step, 3 Step) for the lamination process with different materials
* Perform non-uniformity tests, Calibration and set up new products in compliance with IEC60904 standards
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS Mechanical/Electrical Technology
* 2-3 years of work experience in Solar Module manufacturing plant, a plus but not required
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Must be fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
* Strong computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, 5S, Six sigma, Toyota production system, and/or Lean Manufacturing training courses
* Good Knowledge of the application of statistical tools in process control and product monitoring
* Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) is an asset
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional team members
* Mechanical aptitude/interest
* Team oriented High degree of attention to detail, precision and follow through
* Willing and able to work rotating shifts
* Knowledge of calibrating vision systems is a plus but not required
* Experience in the Solar Industry is a plus but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
