Senior Specialist, Full Stack Developer
Job Description:
Design and develop scalable software solutions using Agile methodology. Partner with various technology teams to ensure smooth transition through development cycle. Comfortable with both front-end and back-end development languages and frameworks. Strong focus on hands on expert level analysis, design, and development of mission critical data intensive transaction processing applications leveraging enterprise frameworks and reusable patterns. Provides tier 2/3 support for mission critical applications on a rotating schedule including some weekend and after hour coverage.

Senior Specialist, Full Stack Developer
Job Description:
Design and develop scalable software solutions using Agile methodology. Partner with various technology teams to ensure smooth transition through development cycle. Comfortable with both front-end and back-end development languages and frameworks. Strong focus on hands on expert level analysis, design, and development of mission critical data intensive transaction processing applications leveraging enterprise frameworks and reusable patterns. Provides tier 2/3 support for mission critical applications on a rotating schedule including some weekend and after hour coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Work with development teams, project and product managers to develop software solutions
- Build front-end of applications conforming to visual design standards provided by UX team
- Build business data microservices
- Build automated unit test cases
- Leverage CI/CD principles and techniques to deliver quality code
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- A minimum of eight (8) years- experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Full stack experience in the analysis, architecture, design, development, and operation of low latency high concurrency enterprise critical transaction processing applications, with a focus on data intensive real time applications.
- Strong Java skills with an emphasis on Spring frameworks including: Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security
- Significant experience in developing Javascript based user interfaces with AngularJS, React, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Cordova, and/or equivalent technologies.
- Strong use case driven object-oriented analysis and design skills.
- Strong hands-on relational database skills with an emphasis on Oracle including; query performance tuning, PL/SQL, Stored Procedure and ETL techniques.
- Significant experience in developing and consuming of REST based APIs applying best practices, standard methodologies, and content standards.
- Familiar with software life cycle management, continuous delivery & integration, test automation, and test-driven development practices and frameworks
- Self-motivated and willing to learn, with a strong aptitude for analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to work with globally distributed virtual teams leveraging agile methodologies.
- Understanding of the Apache Hadoop ecosystem, HDFS, Spark, hive, datawarehouse architectures, massively parallel processing, master data management, slowly changing dimensions, graph database, schemas, aggregation techniques, Terradata, Webfocus, Tableau, graphQL is a plus.
