Job Details
Role: Java/Cloud Application Solution Architect - AWS Certification is must
Location: 1775 Tysons Blvd, VA.
Duration: FTE.
Job Description:
Minimum of Seven (7) years of relevant hands-on experience as a cloud-based solutions architect for systems of similar size and scope to this task. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:
Multi-application architectural design
Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant and reliable applications to the cloud
Migrating complex, multi-tiered systems to the cloud
Designing and developing Cloud based services (Micro-services, etc.) and Application Programming Interfaces (API) for cloud service orchestration.
Designing and developing Cloud workflow-based services.
Selecting appropriate cloud services for specific system requirements
Developing and implementing cloud cost optimization strategies.
Must possess either an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional level certification or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate level certification
Must have strong oral and communication skills (speak fluent English), and experience interacting with senior leaders within an organization.
Must have prior hands-on experience working in an agile development environment.
Prior Federal government experience is a plus.

Required Skills:
Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Microservices, API, API Gateway, AWS Cloud Solutions, Relational and/or No-SQL databases
Must be able to write the code and develop application framework level components.
Experience in one or more the following like Spring Boot, ELK, Spring Cloud Services, Kafka, App Dynamics, API Gateway, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Implementation or working experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using tools and automation capabilities such as JUnit, Mocking, TestNG, Git, and Jira.
Experience in Design and architecture review.
Understanding of concepts such as: high availability engineering, containerization, single page application development, server less computing, elastic scalability, high performance
Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges, and articulate solutions
Thorough understanding on the Life Cycle of Development including Deployment
Strong Customer orientation and customer facing skills with ability to interact at all levels of clients’ organizations
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working in a team environment.
