Job Title: Credit Model Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Credit Model Developer with strong expertise in Python and PySpark and a solid quantitative/statistical foundation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing credit risk models PD, LGD, and ALLL and a deep understanding of rating models used in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement credit risk models (PD, LGD, ALLL) using Python and PySpark.
Collaborate with quantitative and risk teams to design, test, and validate model frameworks.
Perform statistical analyses, model calibration, and performance monitoring.
Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust model specifications.
Prepare model documentation and support internal/external review and audit processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong programming expertise in Python and PySpark (hands-on experience required).
Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Proven experience developing credit risk models (PD, LGD, ALLL).
Practical understanding of rating models and their application in financial institutions.
This is a model development role model validators will not be a fit.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with regulatory model frameworks and governance (e.g., Basel, CCAR).
Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments.
