Job Title: Credit Model Developer
Location: New York, Ny (Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Credit Model Developer with strong expertise in Python and PySpark and a solid quantitative/statistical foundation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing credit risk models PD, LGD, and ALLL and a deep understanding of rating models used in the financial services industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement credit risk models (PD, LGD, ALLL) using Python and PySpark.

  • Collaborate with quantitative and risk teams to design, test, and validate model frameworks.

  • Perform statistical analyses, model calibration, and performance monitoring.

  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust model specifications.

  • Prepare model documentation and support internal/external review and audit processes.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong programming expertise in Python and PySpark (hands-on experience required).

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.

  • Proven experience developing credit risk models (PD, LGD, ALLL).

  • Practical understanding of rating models and their application in financial institutions.

  • This is a model development role model validators will not be a fit.


Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with regulatory model frameworks and governance (e.g., Basel, CCAR).

  • Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments.
