Position: SCCM/MCM System Engineer
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (existing clearance required to start)
We are seeking a career and customer-oriented SCCM/MCM System Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Perform all aspects of SCCM administration, maintenance, and operation of the SCCM Global Enterprise Solution for Microsoft patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, and hardware/software inventory across multiple networks.

Monitor SCCM infrastructure system health, manage boundaries and collections, and make required configuration changes.

Investigate, analyze, and resolve technical issues, while pursuing automation mechanisms for recurring problems.

Ensure the SCCM infrastructure functions properly with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications.

Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise desktop technologies.

Assist with the Enterprise Microsoft monthly patch ingest, test, and deployment cycle (Patch Tuesday).

Test and deploy hotfixes, patches, and new releases to the SCCM Infrastructure.

Develop knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions for SCCM, server, desktop teams, Tier 2/3 Help Desk technicians, and remote/deployed units.
Mandatory:
-
Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Experience in firewall configuration, rights management, and setting up permissions.

Proficiency with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (MS SCCM).

Experience in patch management and process documentation.

Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.

Extensive experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, or 2022.
Education:
-
High School or GED with 19 years of experience;
or -
Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience.
Certifications:
-
IAT Level 2 certification
-
CompTIA Security+ CE
-
Proficiency in image processing and Microsoft SQL
-
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail

Experience managing desktop OS images for large corporate environments, including automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting

Knowledge of the Windows registry, driver interactions within the OS, and unattended/silent installations of Windows operating systems
