Overview

We are seeking an Application Development Engineer II to design, develop, and implement enterprise software solutions supporting healthcare interoperability initiatives. This role focuses on building payer-to-payer APIs to enhance data accessibility, transparency, and patient outcomes. You will work within an agile team across the full development lifecycle design, coding, testing, and deployment ensuring quality, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop secure, reliable software modules and APIs using GoLang.

  • Build data handling and communication features using FHIR standards.

  • Write clean, testable code adhering to coding standards and CI/CD best practices.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to clarify requirements and refine designs.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Create and maintain technical design documentation.

  • Execute and evaluate unit and integration tests to ensure quality coverage.

  • Proactively anticipate and resolve technical issues to meet project timelines.

Top Required Skills

  1. Software Development in GoLang with strong focus on data handling and FHIR integration.

  2. Code Quality & CI/CD: Ensure code meets quality gates, coverage, and deployment best practices.

  3. Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with senior engineers to refine design and meet sprint goals.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, or SQL.

  • Agile software development experience.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 2 4 years of professional experience in software development or application engineering.
