Are you a Software Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow your skillset? Would you like to work on cutting edge container-based deployments? Required Qualifications:
- No security clearance needed to start, but this opportunity requires the selected candidate to be eligible and willing to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI level security clearance which requires ship while working in support of a government contract
- 2-3 years of software development experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical discipline
- Experience with modern programming languages (Java)
- Experience with Java Persistence API
- Relational database development experience (PostgreSQL)
- Experience working with service data formats (JSON, XML)
- Knowledge of software engineering and programming concepts
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative/distributed team environment
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with application container development (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with asynchronous messaging frameworks, (Kafka)
- Experience in object-oriented analysis and design techniques
- Experience with source control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
- Integrated development environments (IntelliJ)
- Familiarity with agile development principles and practices (SAFe, JIRA)
