Description: Our client is currently seeking a RF Systems Engineer to work hybrid in Palo Alto, CA or San Diego, CA.

Description: Our client is currently seeking a RF Systems Engineer to work hybrid in Palo Alto, CA or San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
In a multi-site project team, you are working on the design and implementation of mobile RF transceiver IC's and systems for cellular (4G/5G) and Connectivity (WiFi/Bluetooth/GNSS):
- Analyze RF system performance and develop, along with modem systems, algorithms for: RF calibration, RF impairments compensation, and RF enhancement techniques.
- Support RF SW team to facilitate implementation of RF device drivers and control software for RFIC and RF Front-End components.
- Collaborate with RF bring-up and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface methodology and programming sequence, and RF calibration programming.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience with RF system design and a track record of developing complex RF systems in successful products.
- You have also acquired theoretical and practical experience in the following fields:
- 5 or more years of experience in RF system design, test development, debug, and reporting. Analyzing RF transceiver architectures and define specifications for IC design.
- Modeling of RF transceiver architectures and impairments in Matlab for simulating communication systems performance.
- In-depth knowledge of 4G/5G NR FR1 & FR2 cellular radio standards and carrier.
- In-depth knowledge of Connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS) radio standards.
- Strong knowledge of RF transceiver systems design concepts and modem dependent issues. Experience in RF-System simulation environment (Matlab or C/C++).
- Solid skills in test and script development (Python or PERL or TCL).
