SQL Database Administrator/ Developer

Stabilis Professional Services is looking for a SQL Database Administrator/ Developer for a client in Oak Brook, IL. This is a full-time hybrid work opportunity.

Skills Required-

• Bachelor's degree (Information Technology or related field) or equivalent administration experience required.
• Three to five (3-5) years of database experience with Microsoft SQL Server as a Developer and as a DBA required.
• Competency in using Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio) is required.
• Required to possess high-level skills with MS SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher.
• Data warehousing and ETL experience preferred.
• MS Azure Cloud experience preferred.
• CommVault experience preferred.
• PowerShell experience preferred.
• Willingness and commitment to learn.
• Good verbal and written English communications skills and organizational skills are essential to this position.
• Must be able to effectively present technical concepts and technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to prepare concise, yet detailed written communication (e.g., documentation, deployment plans, status reports, meeting notes) that may be shared and understood by a cross-functional audience (i.e., technical and non-technical).
• An intermediary understanding of statistical concepts (e.g., frequency distributions, mean, median, mode, variance, and standard deviation) is required.
• Must be able to employ common sense and pragmatism and aspects of the scientific method, critical thinking, and creative thinking in analyzing problems and making practical recommendations for solutions.
• Identify trends and patterns in support requests that indicate a need for process or application revision.
• Ability to occasionally travel in the event a business need arises.
