    Job Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Marketing Communications Specialist.

We are looking for a persuasive communicator and marketing writer to join our growing brand department. The majority of the role is comprised of writing and project-managing proposals - working with sales teams in a virtual environment and optimizing a library of responses to create compelling, winning content. While you'll be our go-to person for proposals, you'll also write for other marketing-related projects such as talent branding and digital content. We are an employer of choice, and we need your help to translate that into prose.

To be successful, you know how to balance boldness and professionalism in your communications. You can navigate ambiguity and deadlines with ease. You are the Google-it-first type (in fact, you enjoy thinking through tough challenges). You're excited about the prospect of making a company stand out - all the while following brand guidelines.

    Responsibilities
    • Owning the proposal process from inception to submission.
    • Researching, writing and organizing content in a compelling and credible manner.
    • Researching the competitive landscape, drawing conclusions and making recommendations.
    • Leading kick-off calls and draft reviews.
    • Reviewing business ideas, and crafting winning arguments.
    • Influencing cross-functional teams through building strong one-to-one relationships.
    • Prioritizing project tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Editing and revising content according to feedback.
    • Maintaining consistency by following brand guidelines.
    • Creating supporting graphics and visuals.
    • Preparing client communications and presentations.

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field.
    • 5+ years of writing, communications and/or marketing experience required.
    • Previous experience in the staffing industry preferred.
    • Expert in Microsoft Office.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
    • Learning-oriented mindset.
