Project Manager/PMO

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the team and development teams to understand project requirement and create project plan, estimates, and milestones
  • Help define project scope, goals, dependencies and deliverables
  • Create and maintain project timelines
  • Coordinate across development teams to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and in sync
  • Identify and direct all resources required to execute successful projects
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure with key stakeholders
  • Facilitate communication across investment team, and multiple development teams
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Manage work items in Jira and run scrum meetings
  • Responsible for driving the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives, and ensure quality as well as documentation to support scale
  • Enjoys learning and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and overcoming obstacles to realize project and task delivery success.
  • Create and present Management reports 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
  • 10+ years of experience managing various IT projects in financial industry
  • Proficient in both waterfall and agile methodologies with proven experience creating effective project plans, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Understands the audience and can communicate up, down, and across the team
  • Able to lead by influence and interacts effectively with project team members
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles;
  • Proven record of working in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to focus on continuous improvement in project delivery
  • Navigates ambiguity and drive decision making
  • Comfortable using video conferencing to collaborate and generate results when working remotely
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • PMP Certification preferred
