Job Description
An eCommerce company, backed by multiple A-list celebrities with a multi-year runway is hiring a Java Software Engineer to join their small, but growing, team. Despite being a startup, the CTO and engineers are funny, highly collaborative, and personable creating an environment where you can not only help grow the company to scale, but also grow in your career from Mid to Senior and Senior to Principal to eventually managing your own team. You'll continue building and scaling the main customer-facing eCommerce site that gets thousands of hits per day. The initial infrastructure has been built, but they are continuing to add new features and expand their customer-facing website, so this role will be anywhere from 10-40% architecture and the rest would be hands on Java development with a lot of new and greenfield projects in the pipeline. This company is using bleeding edge technology with Java 16/17, Spring Boot, Rest API, Microservices, Serverless Cloud, and MySQL. This is mainly a backend role, but since its a small team, you may get to do a bit of frontend development as needed. This position will be hybrid onsite in Los Angeles, CA, so you must live in California to apply. Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of professional Java development Experience
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Spring Boot
- Rest API
- Microservices
- SQL/MySQL
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and/or CI/CD
- Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform/AWS/Azure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree
- Ability to take project ownership
- Any exposure/experience with eCommerce
