POSITION OVERVIEW: As a IT Systems Admin at LJA Business Solutions, you will be responsible for installation, configuration, documentation, administration and troubleshooting of core IT systems.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
  • System Administration: Assist in the administration and configuration of on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure services, including virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Nutanix AHV), server operating systems (Windows, Linux), and O365 environments (Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • Active Directory and User Management: Manage user objects, computer objects, and security groups within Active Directory. Support the implementation and maintenance of integrated services; DNS, Group Policy configurations, DHCP, etc...
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Proactively monitor and troubleshoot server environments daily for capacity, performance, and potential issues to ensure systems are running efficiently and securely.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for IT infrastructure and standard operating procedures. Update documentation related to system configurations, changes, and incidents as needed.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for server environments, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of issues. Assist in the remediation of system-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Innovation and Integration: Collaborate with senior team members to research and recommend technological innovations to enhance system efficiency. Assist in integrating new services and technologies into the existing infrastructure.
  • Automation: Support the implementation of automation scripts and processes to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Perform data center operations, including server racking, stacking, hardware replacement, and annual refresh projects.
  • After-Hours and Remote Support: Participate in after-hours maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. Provide support

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, supporting server environments, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (switches, firewalls, VLANs, IPs, subnets).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory management and Group Policy.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Batch files).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Document all incidents, including root cause analyses.
  • Complete special projects and annual objectives as assigned.
  • Promptly respond to inbound phone calls, emails, and automated alerts.
  • Some on-site work may be needed on flex days, nights, or weekends for emergencies or planned after-hours activities
