Data Analyst/Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Data Analyst/Engineer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New Castle, DE.

Responsibilities:

• Follow procedures to assist with the set up and processing of monthly ABS, CLO, CMBS, and RMBS, and the build-out of related automation
• Perform cash and loan transaction account reconciliation, and assist in the build-out of related automation
• Perform reconciliation reporting and position statement review, and assist in the build-out of related automation
• Assist with documentation of requirements, use cases, and related testing data
• Follow detailed system-to-system deal migration scripts to:
  • Perform standard python-code modifications
  • Test deal and data for completeness and accuracy
  • Create reconciliation and validation tools for structured finance transactions utilizing Excel and/or python

Required Skills:

• Must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent work ethic, and good communication skills
• Must be motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Some experience in the ABS/CLO/CMBS/RMBS industry is preferred
• Proficiency in a programming language such as python or VBA is highly desirable
• General knowledge of databases, software and overall process design is desirable

• BS degree in finance or a relevant quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering is highly desirable
• Proficiency with cash-flow modeling of securitized products is preferred
• Must be highly competent with Excel; proficiency with Access, SQL, and/or ETL experience is a plus
