Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject-matter expertise to product owners around backend solutions and cross-team integrations
  • Write and provide reviews on APIs, with an eye towards filling requirements as well as designing solutions that are effective for developers
  • Produce effective, testable code and tests to exercise it

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of development and integration experience
  • Experience and confidence with TypeScript and TypeScript testing frameworks
  • Experience with RDBMSes (Postgres, MS SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with mainstream NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with React
  • Familiarity with modern headless CMSes
  • Familiarity with modern application security practices
  • Experience implementing orchestration layer to orchestrate different synchronous and asynchronous workflows

 

Nice to haves, but not required:

  • Experience building mobile applications
  • Familiarity with non-React frontend stacks: AngularJS, jQuery, etc.
  • Familiarity with NextJS (particularly API-side)
  • Familiarity with stacks outside of Node; Java, C#, etc. (focused towards working with implementors in those ecosystems rather than leading the effort)
  • Familiarity with API gateway solutions (preferably Apigee, but similar is fine)
  • Experience integrating large-scale applications with different downstream apps using REST API, GraphQL, MQTT etc.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Boston MA is $110,000/yr to $120,000/yr and reflects base salary only.
