AEP integrates seamlessly with our core services, improving our capabilities in real-time data processing, decisioning, and customer journey optimization. Familiarity with AEP will be highly beneficial as it underpins many of our newest capabilities across Adobe products.

Join our diverse team responsible for delivering a rationalized set of core services built on top of the data layer. We focus on foundational elements such as Identity Graphs, Profile, Segmentation, and edge components for real-time data capture and decisioning. Our goal is to lay the groundwork for higher-level services crucial for our Experience Business vision. You will work on high-traffic, high-visibility applications, handling immense amounts of data and solving ambitious scaling problems.

This job description highlights multiple open positions across three platform teams, offering a comprehensive overview of the roles and responsibilities. Your application will be considered for all of them through a unified interview process. Join us if you love working with Big Data technologies and want to push the boundaries of innovation!

What you'll Do
  • Partner with multi-functional teams (Product Management, Design, Engineering, etc.) to create high-performance, fault-tolerant systems for large-scale data processing.
  • Strengthen system reliability by crafting scalable architectures and integrating failure resistance into automation and monitoring for distributed services.
  • Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure high-quality implementations.
  • Work within Agile methodologies while using industry-leading CI/CD pipelines for efficient development and deployment.
  • Document and present solutions through design documentation, code comments, technical presentations, and code execution.

What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of industry software development experience.
  • Strong grasp of algorithms and data structures
  • Proven expertise in Java/Scala, Object Oriented Programming principles, clean design, and design patterns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in NoSQL or Distributed Databases is preferred
  • Hands-on experience with open-source technologies such as Spark, Hadoop Stack, and Kafka is preferred.
  • Adaptable to evolving priorities, accepting challenges outside one's comfort zone, learning new technologies, and delivering viable solutions within defined time boundaries.
