Job Title: Support Engineer Stability Task Force
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive L2 Support Engineer to join our Stability Task Force, a specialized team focused on ensuring the reliability, performance, and availability of critical enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Knowledge on AWS using EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Auto Scaling, ALB, NLB, and RDS.
- Increasing stability through configuration and implementation of monitoring tools, such as AppDynamics, 24x7, CloudWatch, OpManager, Kibana, Neptune etc.
- Support middleware technologies such as AMQ, IBM MQ, RV/RMDS, and Solace.
- Knowledge on databases including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, and Oracle.
- Support application and web servers like IIS, Tomcat, WebSphere, and JBoss on both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Process driven knowledge to troubleshoot technical outages for latency and other reported outages.
- Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred / Familiar Skills:
- Containerization and/or microservices architecture (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Scripting and troubleshooting process knowledge with programming languages like Python, Java or Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge with batch monitoring tools like Control-M or Autosys.
- Knowledge to mainframe systems (AS/400) and related batch processes.
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, cybersecurity principles, ITIL practices, and project management.
- Knowledge of enterprise networking, information security, and disaster recovery (DR) setups.
- Knowledge of ITSM process and use of ServiceNow and JIRA for ticketing
