Job Title: Sr Systems Analyst
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+Months Contract to hire
Skills/Experience needed:
- Experience and expert level of independent systems analysis.
- Experience and expert level diagramming of technical designs, such as creating/maintaining system diagrams, workflow diagrams, sequence diagrams, UML diagrams, etc.
- Experience and expert level of accepting business requirements, performing systems analysis, creating appropriate level technical diagrams of as-is and to-be processes, and writing technical user stories to support the business requirements.
- Experience and expert level validating technical requirements are met for all systems within the team's functional domain, such as user interfaces, batch processes, API implementations, database/data changes, etc.
- Accountable for owning and maintaining technical requirements for the team's functional domains.
- Ability to read code - Java engineering background is important. Angular, Java and SQL are the primary languages.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support creative technical designs/solutions meeting business needs that are in alignment with the company s values, objectives and long-term goals.
- Strategically facilitate and lead communications between technical and business teams.
- Perform strategic technical research and analysis for all lines of business.
- Strategically facilitate and influence communications between technical and business units to guide projects to optimal outcome.
- Produce functional and technical specifications and research technical system implications from business user stories; develop the functional and technical specifications to assist with producing creative, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
- Participate in requirements definition, development, test methods, training, and delivery in line with the long-term goals and objectives.
- Partner and lead technical plans and analysis, identify, and plan as required to meet goals of complex projects.
- Develop and present technical materials, models, workflow diagrams, findings, plans and/or conclusions that will provide the necessary sensitivity analysis for management to form new strategies.
- Provide post implementation support, such as, technical problem resolution, adjustments to new procedures, and change management.
- Perform appropriate technical scope analysis.
- Foster the communication and cross-functional collaboration required to share information that will support and drive fact-based decisions;
- Assist business stakeholders with technical defect reporting and resolution.
- Continually look for process improvement strategies.
- Contribute to the vision, long term objectives, and goals of the company and GTS Make appropriate technical plans to ensure the value and effectiveness for the long-term functionality of current plans and adjust plans as necessary to overcome shortcomings; make notations of plausible technical issues beyond scope of control and present to the appropriate parties.
- Mentor and assist lower-level Applications Systems Analyst as needed.
- Lead complex technical analysis of projects, drive solutions, and develop alternatives to meet needs of key stakeholders.
- Remain current on new technologies; introduce applicable technology in alignment with goals and for creative solutions.
- Drive constructive change and provide leadership
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent experience
- Six years of experience analyzing information systems.
- Experience coding: must read / comprehend code in order to design technical specifications
- Prefer knowledge of various data transmission methods
- Prefer Health Care Industry experience or knowledge.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with technical and non technical employees.
- Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask.
- Proficient with Microsoft office suite of products to develop any necessary materials within the scope of the position.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem - solving skills for even complex problems.
- Excellent time management skills Influence organizational best practices to better suit organization needs Identify and mitigate risks; contribute to risk management plan.
- Demonstrated ability to direct others to optimal outcomes.
- Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.
