Responsibilities:
Cloud and Solution Architecture:

Define and enforce cloud governance, security policies (IAM, Security Groups, WAF), and best practices, ensuring all deployments meet compliance and regulatory standards
Develop robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate deployment and management of cloud resources
Drive the adoption of Serverless and Containerization technologies (Lambda, Fargate, EKS) to optimize cost and increase operational efficiency
Evaluate new services and technologies to recommend innovative solutions that address business challenges and improve system performance
Application Modernization and DevOps:
Architect and guide the migration of existing on-premises or legacy applications to the cloud, focusing on refactoring for cloud-native principles
Design and implement scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines using Developer Tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) or external tools like Jenkins/GitLab CI
Provide expertise in application security (AppSec), embedding security controls and practices (e.g., SAST/DAST integration) into the SDLC
Collaborate with development teams to establish efficient monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
Leadership and Communication:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for architecture, presenting technical roadmaps and solutions to executive stakeholders and technical teams
Lead technical design reviews, ensuring that proposed architectures are scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise standards
Mentor and provide technical guidance to development and operations teams on best practices and modern architectural patterns
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years dedicated to cloud architecture and design on the platform
Deep expertise in core services, networking, security, and account management
Strong proficiency in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Terraform or CloudFormation
Demonstrated experience in application modernization (monolith to microservices) and implementing DevOps/GitOps principles
Expertise in at least one major programming language used in cloud development (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
