Position Summary

The System Trainer provides at-the-elbow support to clinicians, managers, and staff during system go-live and stabilization periods. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth transition to the new platform by offering real-time guidance and answering user questions across client s different entities, locations, and departments. Trainers will conduct rounds, support tabling efforts, and serve as approachable, knowledgeable resources for end users adapting to new technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc rounding across clinical and non-clinical areas to provide on-the-spot system support for areas that have been live since June 2025, and for sites going live December 2025 and January 2026.
  • Offer at-the-elbow coaching for system users, including associates, clinicians, timekeepers, managers, and schedulers.
  • Respond to questions and assist with navigation, transaction initiation information, and workflow clarification in real time.
  • Reinforce key workflows, policies, and best practices to ensure accurate and efficient system use.
  • Support tabling efforts for December 2025 & January 2026 go live staffing information tables, distributing quick reference guides, and promoting engagement during go-live.
  • Identify common issues and escalate system or process concerns to the training and project teams.
  • Maintain visibility and approachability on the units to build user confidence and foster adoption.
  • Collaborate with super users and change enablement team to address training gaps or recurring challenges.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training materials, FAQs, and user resources.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in system training, clinical informatics, or at-the-elbow support within a healthcare environment.
    • Experience supporting technology rollouts (e.g., UKG, Epic, Workday, Kronos, ServiceNow) preferred.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and clinical workflows.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage staff across nursing and administrative teams.
    • Confident in explaining and demonstrating system functions to users with varying technical skill levels.
    • Effective troubleshooting, problem-solving, and escalation skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and digital learning tools.

Schedule & Travel

  • Must be available for extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends during go-live and stabilization.
  • Travel between hospital and clinic locations required.
