Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise data integration solutions. The role involves working closely with business analysts, data architects, and cross-functional teams to support data warehousing, analytics, and operational data integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage (Parallel, Server, and Sequencer jobs).
Analyze business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and develop scalable ETL workflows.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources (RDBMS, flat files, cloud, APIs).
Develop complex DataStage jobs, reusable components, and job sequences.
Optimize ETL pipelines and perform performance tuning, including partitioning, parallelism, and job optimization.
Support data quality, cleansing, and profiling activities.
Troubleshoot ETL batch issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolution.
Work with data architects to design and maintain data models, metadata, and data mapping documentation.
Integrate DataStage jobs with scheduler tools (Control-M, Autosys, UC4, or similar).
Implement and follow best practices in version control, CI/CD, and release management.
Collaborate with QA, UAT, and production support teams to ensure smooth deployments.
Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards.

Required Skills

3 8+ years of experience in ETL development using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
Strong hands-on knowledge of:
- DataStage Parallel and Server jobs
- Job sequencing, parameter sets, and reusable components
- Partitioning, collecting, merging, sorting, and other DataStage stages
Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or any RDBMS).
Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL best practices.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and high-volume batch jobs.
Good understanding of Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills

Experience with IBM InfoSphere components (QualityStage, Information Analyzer, Metadata Workbench).
Knowledge of Python, Informatica, or other ETL tools.
Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
