Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: Remote (USA Only)

Job Type: Contract - 3 Months

About the Role

We re seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a short-term contract opportunity. This remote position requires a highly skilled and experienced QA professional with a strong background in test automation, HL7 message validation, API testing, and data validation.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, automate, and maintain tests for HL7 integration (e.g., DFT and ADT message types)

Automate API testing using tools such as Postman

Validate data using SQL queries, joins, and stored procedures (preferably in SQL Server)

Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements

Schedule and monitor nightly automated test runs and report on test results

Provide technical and operational support for automation frameworks and QA activities

Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure high-quality software delivery

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in software test automation

5+ years of API testing experience

3+ years of hands-on SQL experience (preferably with SQL Server)

Proven experience with HL7 message testing (especially DFT and ADT messages)

Solid understanding of QA methodologies and types of testing: functional, regression, integration, data validation, performance, exploratory

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Nice to Have

Experience with Python

Familiarity with Robot Framework or Playwright

Education

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position (U.S.-based candidates only)

Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods (up to 8 hours with breaks)
