What You Will Do

The IT Senior Technical Service Delivery Lead is responsible for leading technical deliverables of Stryker home-grown custom applications, such as EIM and Repsuite, developed on Heroku platform. This role consists of development of enhancements and bug fixes, architect solution per business requirements, work with CRM, ERP and Middleware cross teams to design, develop and maintain applications, work with project teams to review the solution, liaison effective build to run activities.

This role also assists in administering Heroku platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and associated enterprise-wide applications and components. Recommends changes in applications development, maintenance, and system standards. This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. This Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline, attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Architect, design, develop and maintain Stryker home-grown custom web and iOS mobile applications, such as EIM and Repsuite, on Heroku platform,
  • Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of the complex, high-performance, and scalable web and iOS mobile applications using React.js, React Native and associated libraries.
  • Write, modify, and debug applications using the relevant tech stack for the React JS, React Native, TypeScript and Node.js
  • Proficiently design, develop and manage Postgres - SQL DB solutions.
  • Design, develop and troubleshoot integrations with Salesforce CRM and ERP applications using APIs, Heroku Connect.
  • Offer best practices advice and recommendations to Managed Services team around overall React JS custom applications architecture and Heroku Platform strategy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in React.js and front-end development techniques. Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, conducting code reviews, and supporting their professional growth.
  • Design and develop reusable custom application components that meet customer requirements while upholding high standards of reliability, security, maintainability, and performance.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and bugs, ensuring the stability and reliability of the applications.
  • Assist in defining, scaling and managing Heroku PaaS and related components.
  • Follow SDLC best practices and coding principles for successful delivery of the bug fixes and enhancements.


Operations:
  • Work closely with IT Service Delivery Lead and support teams to manage daily support and maintenance of application instance and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving mission requirements.
  • Continuously improve the customer experience by maturing operations through automation, self-service, and shift-left approaches.
  • Solicit and monitor customer feedback and respond with actions that drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance, and technical efficiencies.
  • Drive adherence to global governance/release management processes to ensure system integrity
  • Ensure documentation that is relevant to the service is maintained in a meaningful and accessible manner. This includes system documentation, requirements and test scripts, knowledge articles, and configuration and organizational information, emergency contacts / call lists, etc.


Service Excellence:
  • Ensure roadmap for service is defined and communicated with stakeholders using their inputs and demand as drivers.
  • Ensure monitoring of services and related aspects of the service offering (e.g., support procedures) is in place to proactively identify and remediate issues and achieve delivery of service excellence.
  • Ensure proactive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measures are implemented to ensure delivery of an exceptional service.
  • Monitor vendor performance against agreed expectations (contractual or otherwise) including regular vendor meetings to review expectations and performance.


What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university required; Bachelor's degree in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study preferred.
  • ITIL Foundations v4 certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of architecting, designing, developing, and managing custom web and mobile applications using React JS and React Native highly preferred.
  • Experience of working on TypeScript and Node.js for custom web application development highly preferred.
  • Strong experience of working on integrations with CRM, ERP and other cross applications using API, Heroku Connect and other integration techniques.
  • Experience of working on SQL databases such as Postgres DB to be able to troubleshoot and develop fix for database related issue.
  • Proficient knowledge of Heroku platform and its components including Heroku Connect, dynos scaling is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with PaaS concepts and experience working with PaaS vendor team is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and ability to drive IS methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred.
