We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and lead a talented team of network professionals.
Job Description: As a Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of our network infrastructure. You will serve as both a technical leader and individual contributor, leveraging your expertise in Cisco and Aruba routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless SDWAN technologies, and Azure networking solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in medium to large-scale environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of core network engineering principles and a proven ability to manage and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, SDWAN, and Azure networking components.
- Lead and manage a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT infrastructure.
- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong proficiency with Cisco and Aruba routing and switching technologies.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration and management.
- Hands-on experience with wireless SDWAN solutions and Azure networking.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and other network protocols.
- Proven ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and manage projects effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
