Job: Data Analyst

Term: 3-month plus extension potential

Hours: Regular 30 hours weekly, potential to increase
Remote: Hybrid | 4 days onsite (M,T,W,TH) / remote F)
We have a 3-month contract with possible extensions. This person will be required to work a 30/hr work week. The manager prefers that someone work Monday through Friday 6hrs a day but could do another schedule if needed where they work more hours one day. The manager also stated that there is a potential for this role to get up to 40/hrs a week but will start off at 30hrs a week supporting the Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Risk Management offices with upcoming projects. The preference is that this person have experience with both PowerBI and Tableau dashboards but will be operating more so in PowerBI.
FORMAL HR JOB DESCRIPTION:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to modeling efforts around project risk management as well as asset health and operations risk. This role will be supporting the Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Risk Management offices with upcoming projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system
Develop local database and integrate with various internal applications and external sources to query, store, and process data
Required Skills:
Experience with database technologies
Knowledge of at least one scripting language including Python and related packages (e.g.NumPy, etc)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Demonstrated history of success
Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions
Basic knowledge of statistics and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in utilities, electric, and/or natural gas preferred
Familiarity with AI in a professional setting
Experience with:
At Risk software (highly preferred)
MS Projects/MS Dynamics (highly preferred)
