Key Requirements

ServiceNow Developer - REMOTE - Long-Term Contract

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years in both waterfall and agile development.
    • 5+ years with ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, PPM, Service Portal, Employee Portal.
    • Hands-on with customization, administration, and configuration of ServiceNow.
    • Prior work in large government agencies.

  • Technical Skills:

    • ServiceNow scripting: HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, JavaScript, Jelly, Glide APIs.
    • Web Services, PowerShell, Shell Script.
    • Automated Testing Framework, Guided Tour Designer.
    • Protocols: TCP/IP, Ethernet, FTP, SSH, Firewalls.
    • Database expertise: SQL, NoSQL, RDBMS, data modeling, CSDM.
    • CMDB, Discovery, Orchestration, Service Mapping, Asset & Event Management, Scoped Apps, Performance Analytics.
    • API development and integration with external applications.
    • Familiarity with Vancouver release and BACCM.

  • Tools & Documentation:

    • Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira.
    • Discovery and Application Dependency Mapping tools (ADM, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Device42).

  • Certifications:

    • Preferred: CSA, CAD, CIS ITSM, CIS ITOM, CTA.
    • Required: ITIL v3 Foundation.

  • Other Skills:

    • Strong communication; ability to explain complex concepts simply.
    • Resource planning and conversion of high-level specs to technical specs.
    • Ability to work independently or in teams; manage external staff effectively.
    • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
