We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to become a part of a team with a global leading retail provider, who has the ability to work on Cisco Routing and Switching platforms as well as Velocloud SDWAN platforms. We will need a person with an ability to work in a fast-paced often changing environment, and a varied network engineering skillset. We are looking for a person who can lean in and support various Engineering pillars which could include Retail Edge Locations, Showrooms, Remote Offices, and much more.

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to become a part of a team with a global leading retail provider, who has the ability to work on Cisco Routing and Switching platforms as well as Velocloud SDWAN platforms. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Assist Implementation of infrastructure projects with teams across the globe.
- Execute technical and functional resolution or workaround to mitigate or restore infrastructure service disruptions.
- Provide a timely response and analysis to customers and team management
- Participate in break fix issues as well as on-call rotation and escalation response for network infrastructure issues.
- Work with Operational Management to assess impact and urgency of critical and/or impactful issues.
- Project/Initiative Coordination
- Assist in working with Operations and Vendors to identify and fulfil the best infrastructure solution based on business need.
- Communicate with requestors to ensure they are kept up to date with status.
- Coordinate with teams to complete work to completion.
- Determine timelines to best fit business requirements.
- Build and deploy new hardware stacks in our constantly growing footprint and presence globally
- Develop and test new network architecture in response to business-driven requests for additional functionality
- Serve as an escalation point for complex or impactful production support issues
- Help maintain production support processes and ensures that teams are following documented processes to resolve issues.
- Provide operational technical support across a variety of infrastructure and end user services, such as network troubleshooting and client troubleshooting; escalate as necessary and own the issues.
- Ensure standards are being followed
- Help on-boarding, coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure that we're building a winning team.
- Ensure that senior production support management is always informed of the status of initiatives, impactful issues, team health and needs.
- Stay connected with other teams to understand impacts of their changes, align on timing, and ensure adequate support handoff.
- Act as a business consultant where needed to resolve issues and provide information to other teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with operational managers and obtain 360 feedback.
- Participate in operational meetings as appropriate.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Current CCNA Route Switch Certification (additional CCNP certification is a plus)
- 7+ years Network Engineering experience to include the following:
- Expert knowledge of Cisco platforms ISR/ASR, Catalyst Switching, ASA
- Opening/managing RMA and TAC cases with Cisco.
- Cisco DNA Center
- Expert knowledge of SDWAN platforms
- Ticketing and work/project Systems (ServiceNow, Jira)
- L2/L3 switching
- EIGRP/BGP/OSPF routing
- Network Services
- DHCP
- DNS
- Network Automation
- Scripting Languages (Python/Perl - preferably Python)
- API Integration
- Familiarity with Networking Tools/Platforms (SolarWinds, Devo)
- Can speak, read and write English.
