Technical Business Analyst

ASSYST is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support our client project in Tallahassee, Florida.

The position is Onsite. 

Scope of Work:

• This position is responsible for providing technical analysis for the AASHTOWare product suite, including:
• Discovery and documentation of current-state business processes and system interactions.
• Analysis of business needs to develop technical requirements and specifications.
• Preparation of technical responses, impact assessments, and solution recommendations.
• Evaluation of existing customizations for compatibility and migration into the AASHTOWare SaaS product suite.
• Collaboration with product teams to support upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and product implementations.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the AASHTOWare product team to ensure alignment between business needs, technical feasibility, and delivery priorities.
• Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions while effectively representing business interests during solution development.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and customer communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support software product delivery and system enhancements throughout the full lifecycle, including planning, implementation, and stabilization.
• Facilitate collaboration among business users, development teams, product owners, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with functional and technical standards.
• Assist in maintaining product roadmaps, release schedules, upgrade timelines, enhancement priorities, and delivery milestones.
• Translate business requirements into actionable development tasks, define scope and acceptance criteria, and monitor progress through the development lifecycle.
• Act as a liaison with end users and product partners regarding integrations, custom development, issue resolution, and post-deployment support.
• Support solution evaluation activities, including prototyping, technical feasibility analysis, testing, and user validation to ensure production readiness.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT product development, engineering, or project delivery.
• At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in complex technology or product delivery environments.
• Experience with software/system integration activities and post-deployment support.
• Experience with AASHTOWare configuration, implementation, or integration is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery approaches is preferred.
• Experience with government procurement and IT governance processes, especially Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 through 60GG-5, is desirable.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present product functionality, delivery progress, and performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SharePoint 365, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft DevOps is highly desired.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field required. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
