Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Denver, CO (Downtown – Hybrid)

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $24 – $27/hour (W2)

 

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations in a dynamic and growing organization. This hybrid role, based in downtown Denver, offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative finance team with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Candidates with previous A/P experience are preferred, but recent accounting graduates with strong attention to detail will also be considered.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices with accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain records and documentation for A/P transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closing and journal entries as needed
  • Use Excel and ERP tools to manage and analyze data

 

Requirements

  • Any prior Accounts Payable experience or an accounting degree
  • Open to new grads, but preference given to candidates with A/P experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient Excel skills (sorting, filtering, formulas, etc.)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to an ERP system (they use MS Dynamics Great Plains)
  • Some experience with accounting or journal entries
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
