Job Details

Job Description:

  • The client is looking for a UX Designer with experience designing intuitive, data-driven user experiences for geospatial, navigation, or mapping platforms, and/or creating conversational interaction models for complex enterprise workflows. In this role, you will shape end-to-end user journeys that enhance how users interact, navigate, and engage with geo-data systems or multimodal conversational interfaces.
  • You will work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other UX partners to deliver solutions that improve usability, navigation efficiency, and user understanding across mapping and conversational applications.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Design user experiences across mapping, navigation, or geospatial data platforms, focusing on usability, clarity, and end-to-end interaction journeys.
  • Develop conversation flows, system responses, intents, and multimodal interaction patterns for voice/chat-powered user experiences.
  • Create wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and UI/UX documentation supporting both geo-navigation and conversational use cases.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define problems, validate ideas, and translate complex data or system behaviors into user-friendly interactions.
  • Apply user-centered design principles to simplify large-scale data systems, spatial information, or conversational decision paths.
  • Support design reviews, refine designs based on feedback, and ensure delivery aligns with technical and product constraints.
  • Leverage user research, analytics, and usability testing to iterate on designs and improve the user experience.
  • Contribute to design systems, reusable patterns, and frameworks for mapping or conversational interfaces., templates, and process metrics to ensure repeatable, scalable planning excellence.

Required Experience (Mandatory):

  • 4+ years of experience in UX, product design, conversation design, or interaction design.
  • Experience designing for geo-navigation, mapping software, location-based tools, or data visualization platforms OR experience with conversational UX flows, intents, and multimodal interactions.
  • Strong portfolio showing user journeys, navigation flows, mapping UI designs, or conversational interaction models.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Desired Experience (Nice to have):

  • Experience designing for complex enterprise platforms, geospatial tools, routing data, or large-scale mapping systems.
  • Hands-on work with AI-driven conversational assistants, chatbots, or multimodal agent experiences.
  • Familiarity with geospatial concepts (e.g., layers, POIs, routing, map data quality).
  • Understanding of accessibility, information architecture, and system-level design patterns.
  • Comfort working with data visualization frameworks or mapping SDKs/APIs.

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent practical experience.
