About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned Network Reliability Engineer to join our Global IT Networking team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in the planning, design, deployment, and troubleshooting of complex networked systems.

The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining essential network services on a daily basis and collaborating effectively with third-party teams and managed service providers to ensure uninterrupted network operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating with the network engineering team to oversee the implementation of network designs and changes.
  • Managing a repository of physical and logical network documentation.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating network issues and risks.
  • System Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor network performance, reliability, and availability to identify potential issues before they cause failures. This includes creating dashboards and reports for network telemetry and infrastructure health.
  • Incident Response and Management: Respond to network disruptions, participate in on-call rotations, and conduct post-incident reviews to determine the root cause and capture lessons learned.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify and manage risks that could impact network reliability, and develop strategies to eliminate failures and reduce downtime.
  • System Design and Improvement: Contribute to network architecture and design, and work to improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of network infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Tool and Dashboard Development: Build custom tools and dashboards to support process optimization, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Capacity Planning: Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting to ensure the network can scale with future needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, managing, and implementing corporate internal data communications systems, encompassing telecommunications infrastructure, security layers, LANs, and WANs.
  • 5+ years supporting network devices within a 24x7 datacenter or global enterprise environment, including expertise in routing, switching, and network security.
  • 3+ years working with SD-WAN technologies, including Cisco Viptela.
  • 5+ years managing branch networking infrastructures, emphasizing wireless office setups and Meraki-based solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data Center Switching: At least 5 years of experience with data center switch environments, preferably with Cisco and/or Arista series.
  • Cloud Networking: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud networking platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or OCI.
  • Strong project management capabilities demonstrated through the successful execution of network implementations, adherence to deadlines, and budget compliance.
  • WAN Physical Connectivity: Experience provisioning, configuring, and troubleshooting edge router WAN circuits (Ethernet).
  • Routing Protocols: Proficient with all common routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) in modern network environments.
  • At least four years of experience using debug/trace commands and understanding their effects on production environments.
  • Monitoring: Advanced knowledge of SNMP, Netflow, Syslog, and packet capture techniques.
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred, such as CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE RS.
  • Deep understanding of UNIX and Windows networking technologies and associated deployment methodologies.
  • Internet Hosting: Expertise in BGP design and implementation for internet hosting, including redundant ISP configurations, BGP load balancing, CIDR advertisements, and prefix filtering with regular expressions.
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE RS are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and a proven track record of providing service delivery to both internal and external clients.
  • Wireless: Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) with enterprise wireless networks across varied settings, such as offices, manufacturing, and distribution centers.
  • Equipment / Cloud Environment: Broad experience troubleshooting diverse environments and technologies, including but not limited to:
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure, OCI, Google Cloud Platform
  • Routers: Cisco ASR, 4k, 1100 Series
  • Cisco Access Switches: Catalyst 9000, legacy 2900
