Job Title: Senior Technical Program Manager - Data Management

This is a long-term (multiple years) contract role with Abbvie and we are looking for someone who can work full-time on our W2 or as independent contractor (1099).

Position is hybrid and requires individual to work from office 3 days/week.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Program Manager with extensive experience in Data Management projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning to execution, ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on-time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams of developers, architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to define project scope, develop project plans, and manage project schedules.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure that project goals are achieved and business objectives are met.

  • Manage the development and implementation of Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) projects, ensuring that they meet or exceed project requirements and quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk management plans, project schedules, and status reports.

  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and business partners.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team and ensure that all technical aspects of the project are delivered to the highest standards.

  • Manage project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and resource constraints.

  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring that project issues are identified, addressed and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, processes, and standards.

  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on Data initiatives.

  • Experience with enterprise-level Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) technologies and architecture.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex technical projects, with a strong track record of success.

  • Demonstrated experience working with technical teams on-site and offshore.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies is a plus.

  • PMP or similar certification is a plus.
